Ho Bankoe E.P. Primary School Holds Open Day Celebration to Support Kindergarten Washroom Project
Ho, 17th August 2023 – The Ho Bankoe E.P. Primary School organized an open day celebration to raise funds to support the construction of a modern 3-seater washroom for the kindergarten department. The event showcased the school’s commitment to providing enhanced facilities for its young learners and fostering a conducive learning environment.
Mr. Edward Hodowu, Chairman of the School Management Committee (SMC), emphasized the importance of nurturing children, who he described as society’s treasures. He lauded the school’s efforts and achievements, highlighting their recent victory in the circuit quiz competition organized for all E.P. schools as part of the 2023 education week celebration.
Mr. Michael Kofi Aborta, Chairman of the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA), expressed concerns about the rising levels of indiscipline and student lateness. He called for a comprehensive approach to tackle these challenges effectively from their roots.

In his address, read by Mr. Richmond Abake, the Public Relations Officer, the Municipal Chief Executive for Ho, Hon. Divine R.K. Bosson, acknowledged the current government policies against corporal punishment in schools. He encouraged the PTA to collaborate and draft a memorandum that outlines a minimal level of disciplinary action to be taken in schools, considering the existing policies.
Hon. Divine R.K. Bosson expressed his confidence in the collective power of collaboration to restore and elevate the mission schools to even greater heights. He stressed that education remains a transformative force that can shape destinies and uplift communities, and called for continued teamwork among all stakeholders to achieve this shared goal.
The event also included an awards presentation to deserving students, recognizing their outstanding achievements and contributions to the school community.
