Ho Technical Institute Students Donate Items to Municipal Chief Executive.
Students from Ho Technical Institute led by some of their teachers presented a two-piece of beautifully crafted caftan garments, sewn by the fashion department of the school, and an extension board assembled by the students to the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Ho, Hon. Divine Bosson on Tuesday 30th May 2023.
Expressing his gratitude, Hon. Divine Bosson commended the students for their thoughtful gesture and encouraged them to embody the vision of the President regarding Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) services. He emphasized the importance of fostering innovative ideas that could address societal challenges and contribute to the development of the community and the nation.
Hon. Bosson reminded the students that the President’s vision for TVET was to ensure that every student has equal access to secondary education opportunities. He noted that by actively participating in initiatives that align with this vision, the students would play a significant role in promoting the President’s educational agenda.
Furthermore, the MCE urged the school authorities to establish a partnership with Ho Technical University. He proposed that the university should take on the responsibility of mentoring the institute, fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing between the two institutions. This partnership would provide valuable guidance to the students and further enhance their technical skills, opening doors to broader opportunities in the future.
The collaboration between Ho Technical Institute and Ho Technical University promises to be a valuable alliance, promoting skill development, knowledge transfer, and a brighter future for the students.
The headmaster of the school, Mr. Justice Arthur expressed gratitude to the government and the Municipal Chief Executive for their tremendous support to the school in recent times.
