Ho MCE, Ghana Gas, cut Sod for Astro Turf.
The Ho Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Divine Bosson, together with Mr. Francis Augustus Badu and Madam Delphine Dogbega, both representing Ghana Gas Company Limited, came together to initiate the construction of an artificial football field (AstroTurf) at the Ho Technical University campus in Ho.
Addressing participants, the Municipal Chief Executive, said the facility when completed would play a significant role in nurturing sporting talents within the municipality and the Volta Region. He emphasized the value of these talents as a source of boosting the local economy, even in the absence of major factories and industries.
He called on the residents especially the football community to work in close collaboration to ensure the successful completion of this project.

Mr. Francis Augustus Badu, the Community Relations Manager of Ghana Gas Company Limited noted that the project is part of the company’s corporate social responsibility, aiming to enhance community development and stimulate socio-economic activities.
The Vice Chancellor of the Ho Technical University (HTU), Professor Ben Q. Hoenyenuga, said that the project would contribute positively to the university’s reputation. He believed the choice of the university campus as the project’s location was highly appropriate.
The project which is being funded by the Ghana Gas Company Limited will feature a standard artificial turf, advanced sensors, and floodlights, and it is expected to be completed within six months.
