HMA COMMISSIONS NEWLY BUILT POLICE STATION AT TOKOKOE.
On Thursday 2nd of May, 2024, at 11 am, the commissioning of Police Station took at Tokokoe which brought together Chiefs and people from various communities within the municipality
The Chairman was introduced in person of Sorhefia James Yao Klu, the youth leader and Formal Highways Authority Officer. The chairman accepted his position and address the people by saying, they had challenges in the community when there was no Police Station. People steal and do illegal businesses in the community and goes scot free, so he appreciate the fact that the police station have been completed and due to commissioning.
Fast forward, the Assembly Member of Tokokoe delivered the welcome address by stating that, the newly commissioned Police Station will serve as a hub for community Policing where Officers can engage with residents, build trust and address crucial matters. He also stated that, he would appreciate it if the Municipal Chief Executive Hon. Divine RK Bosson could help them rectify some essentials such as provision of water through boreholes, construction of slap to cover some of the gutters in the town, replacement of outdated office chairs and building of Police Bungalows etc.
The Municipal Chief Executive Ho, Hon. Divine R.K Bosson also delivered a speech stating that, on records he was supposed to complete the Police Station in a year time but used just 4months to complete it. He said in a world where safety is paramount, having a Police Station within the community is not just a necessity rather symbolizes the collective resolve to uphold law and order, to protect the community from wrong doings and ensure the well-being of everyone in the community. He stated that, the Law Enforcement Officers are the backbone of the security infrastructures, the guardians of the streets and the first respondents in times of crises. He also urge the people of Tokokoe to look beyond party colours and vote wisely come December 7th, 2024. He said they should vote for him as the Member of Parliament so he can continue the good works he has already started.
However, the good works he was doing were appreciated by the people of the community because he has brought a reliable water supply to the Tokokoe community.
Some dignitaries also present to grace the occasion were; Togbe Kwasi Agamah VII of Tokokoe, Elder Anyormi Lawson, Anthony Appiah In-Charge of Ghana Revenue Authority, Mr. George Emmanuel of National Investment Bank and Rev. Nestor Agbenyegah etc.
