Ho MCE donates electrical items to OLA Girls Senior High School Ho

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Ho, Hon. Divine Richard Komla Bosson, donated 200 energy-saving bulbs and 40 lamp holders to OLA Girls Senior High School in Ho. The donation was made in response to an appeal from the school authorities during their 69th Speech and Prize-Giving Day held on Saturday 20th May 2023. The MCE personally oversaw the installation of the electrical items, emphasizing his commitment to providing a conducive learning environment. The energy-saving bulbs contribute to energy efficiency and cost savings while improving visibility for teaching and learning.

The MCE advised the students to be proactive in giving back to their communities. He encouraged them to use their education and skills to make positive contributions to society, emphasizing the importance of being responsible and compassionate citizens.
The Headmistress of the School Mad. Benedicta Agbezudor, expressed deep gratitude for the donation, recognizing its significance in enhancing teaching and learning.

Ho Technical Institute Students Donate Items to Municipal Chief Executive.

Students from Ho Technical Institute led by some of their teachers presented a two-piece of beautifully crafted caftan garments, sewn by the fashion department of the school, and an extension board assembled by the students to the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Ho, Hon. Divine Bosson on Tuesday 30th May 2023.
Expressing his gratitude, Hon. Divine Bosson commended the students for their thoughtful gesture and encouraged them to embody the vision of the President regarding Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) services. He emphasized the importance of fostering innovative ideas that could address societal challenges and contribute to the development of the community and the nation.
Hon. Bosson reminded the students that the President’s vision for TVET was to ensure that every student has equal access to secondary education opportunities. He noted that by actively participating in initiatives that align with this vision, the students would play a significant role in promoting the President’s educational agenda.
Furthermore, the MCE urged the school authorities to establish a partnership with Ho Technical University. He proposed that the university should take on the responsibility of mentoring the institute, fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing between the two institutions. This partnership would provide valuable guidance to the students and further enhance their technical skills, opening doors to broader opportunities in the future.
The collaboration between Ho Technical Institute and Ho Technical University promises to be a valuable alliance, promoting skill development, knowledge transfer, and a brighter future for the students.
The headmaster of the school, Mr. Justice Arthur expressed gratitude to the government and the Municipal Chief Executive for their tremendous support to the school in recent times.

Former Municipal Chief Executive for Ho, Hon. Prosper Kofi Pi-Bansa, Laid to Rest.

Ho, Ghana – The late Hon. Prosper Kofi Pi-Bansa, former Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Ho, was laid to rest today with a solemn burial service held at the E.P. Dela Cathedral in Ho Kpodzi. The funeral proceedings concluded with his burial at the Ho Public cemetery, where family, friends, and political colleagues paid their final respects.
Hon. Pi-Bansa, served as the Municipal Chief Executive for Ho between October 2019 – October 2021, contributed his quota to the development and progress of the community during his tenure. His untimely passing has left a void in the hearts of many who admired his leadership and dedication to public service.
The funeral ceremony brought together mourners from different political affiliations, as executives from both the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) paid their respects to the late Hon. Pi-Bansa. This display of unity demonstrated the impact he had on the local political landscape, fostering collaboration and mutual respect among party members.
Tributes were delivered by his wife, children, the E.P church, the New Patriotic Party, and the Municipal Assembly, reflecting on Hon. Pi-Bansa’s achievements, compassion, and commitment to the people of Ho. The heartfelt tributes painted a picture of a dedicated public servant who left a lasting legacy through his selfless service and unwavering dedication to the community.
Among the dignitaries present were Hon. Divine Bosson, the current MCE for Ho, Makafui Woanya, Regional Chairman of the NPP, along with former MCEs former Moderators of the E.P. Church of Ghana among others.

Ho, Volta Region – The Ho Municipal Assembly organized a solemn pre-burial service on Thursday, May 25, 2023, to pay tribute to the late Honorable Prosper Kofi Pi-Bansa, former Municipal Chief Executive (MCE). The service took place at the forecourt of the municipal assembly, drawing a diverse gathering of dignitaries and community members.

Honorable Archibald Yao Letsa, the Volta Regional Minister, delivered a heartfelt tribute to the late MCE, highlighting his contributions to the development of the Ho municipality and his dedicated service to the community. Honorable Divine Bosson, the current MCE for Ho Municipal Assembly, also expressed his condolences and emphasized the significant impact Hon. Pi-Bansa had made during his tenure.

Among those paying tribute were Mr. Augustus Awity, Chief Director of the Volta Regional Coordinating Council (VRCC), and Honorable Nelson Akorli, a former MCE for Ho. Their speeches acknowledged Hon. Pi-Bansa’s exceptional leadership skills, integrity, and commitment to the welfare of the people.

The pre-burial service witnessed the presence of several distinguished guests, including former MCEs, Reverend Dr. Lt. Col Agbeko (Rtd), Moderator of the E.P Church, and former moderators of the EP Church. Political party executives from both the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) were also in attendance, highlighting the bipartisan respect for Hon. Pi-Bansa and his work.

The event provided an opportunity for the community to come together to honor and celebrate the life of Honorable Prosper Kofi Pi-Bansa, whose legacy will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to the development and progress of the Ho municipality.

The funeral rites for Hon. Prosper Kofi Pi-Bansa will continue in the coming days, with further details to be announced by the family and the Ho Municipal Assembly.

ASOGLI TRADITIONAL COUNCIL CALLS ON HO MUNICIPAL CHIEF EXECUTIVE

On Monday 22nd May 2023, some Chiefs and Elders from the Asogli Traditional Council, led by Asafo Gameli from Ho Hliha paid a curtesy call on the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Divine Richard Bosson. The purpose of the visit was to discuss the recent passing and funeral arrangements of one of their esteemed queen mothers, the late Mama Alorde II Nyornufia of Ho Hliha with the assembly.

In a heartfelt meeting held at the MCE’s conference room, Hon. Divine Bosson conveyed his deepest sympathies to the grieving community of Ho. The MCE sought divine guidance, asking for wisdom and clarity in selecting a worthy successor for the late Queenmother.

Hon. Bosson also shared the solemn news of the passing of his predecessor, Hon Prosper Kofi Pi-Bansah whose burial and final funeral rites would be performed on Saturday 27th May 2023 and invited them to attend.
